A word from the president of the 30th term
I am delighted to be able, at last, to greet you on the website of the French Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce!
Work on the website began in 2021. After three years of on-and-off preparation, it has finally been completed thanks to the commitment and dedication of two young Taiwanese entrepreneurs, Wei-Han YU (游惟涵) and David BURIE (畢詳笙), to whom I am very grateful.
The website matters a great deal: from now on we can keep a complete record of each term's activities (attendance at annual meetings, minutes, discussions and decisions), share information and ideas, and give members a place to communicate and build mutual trust. Keeping it alive will depend on all of us, so that we can show the success of our chamber to the European and world chambers.
I have had the honour of serving as president for the 28th term (2021) and the 30th term (2023). I thank our elders and all our members for their support and trust, which allowed me to carry out all of the chamber's activities. During both terms, my priorities were recruiting new members and actively involving young entrepreneurs. I am glad to say that the chamber now has 54 members: it has grown younger, and its members, working in modern and innovative fields, have brought it new energy.
We can be proud that the chamber is one of the community organisations our Representative Office in France values most. Taiwanese entrepreneurs act as intermediaries between government, private business and the community. Our members reflect the economic strength and creativity of Taiwanese investment in France, and they also foster fellowship, mutual support and the community's attachment to Taiwan.
Finally, the 30th term has held many activities over the past year. As the Paris Olympic Games approach, the chamber will actively support the activities of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee in Paris, so that our athletes can give their all for Taiwan!
The spirit of our chamber is to stand by Taiwan and engage with the world, and my motto is: lead with heart, embrace with love!
I wish you all success in business, happy families and much happiness.
Isabelle LAM (鄭蓓斐), President of the 30th term of the French Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce
