On 4 February 2024, the FTCC held a conference on "Taiwan's economic and trade development and investment prospects for Taiwanese businesses". Some thirty Taiwanese entrepreneurs attended, including James HUANG (黃行德), adviser president of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (WTCC).
Wu Xiaoyin reviewed Taiwan's economy in 2023 and presented the development of economic and trade relations between Taiwan and France, Taiwan's investment environment, the "5+2" and six core strategic industries innovation plans, the transition to net zero by 2050, the three major "Invest in Taiwan" programmes, the Employment Gold Card, the "Contact Taiwan" international talent policy, the new Taiwan–France start-up cooperation programme, the Institute for Information Industry's TCA talent exchange programme, the chip-driven industrial innovation plan, global trade opportunities with IEAT, and trade fairs in Taipei (Computex, Smart City Expo, the assistive technology fair and the textile show). Beyond investment in Taiwan, she hopes to help promote Taiwanese products on the French market.
Lin Junyi presented the major trade fairs held in Paris in 2024, notably Taiwan Expo in Europe on 10–12 June and SIAL Paris on 19–23 October, and invited Taiwanese entrepreneurs to explore new opportunities there. Zhang Fanru explained amendments to the Immigration Act, including the revised provisions on admitting nationals without household registration in Taiwan and on the settlement, with no age limit, of children born abroad.
Liu Suqiu presented the schemes allowing graduates of the world's top 500 universities and other recognised institutions to work and live in Taiwan, as well as registration for the OCAC's 2024 in-person language courses for young people of the diaspora (2nd and 3rd sessions) and the 2024 Taiwan study tour for young people from abroad. She encouraged entrepreneurs to apply for the iQiao card (i僑卡), to join as members or partner merchants, and reminded them of services for Taiwanese businesses abroad, such as the Overseas Credit Guarantee Fund. She urged everyone to make full use of the OCAC's services.
